The Theatre World awards are given each year to actors making their Broadway debuts. I was presented with mine by Audra Macdonald for my performance in Cabaret.

DRAMA DESK AWARD
I won the Drama Desk for Best Actor in a Musical. Here's my acceptance speech and also my performance of I Don't Care Much
DRAMA LEAGUE HONOR
The Drama League honored me for my performance in Cabaret at their annual luncheon and awards ceremony.
OUTER CRITICS' CIRCLE AWARD
I was honoured to receive the Best Actor in a Musical award from the Outer Critics' Circle from Lauren Bacall.
Tony Award
I won the Best Actor in a Musical Tony for my performance in Cabaret. Annette Bening gave it to me, andI rather embarassingly gave her a bottle of water I had in my hands as I ran to the stage.
FANY AWARD
I joked when I received this award that I had always craved FANY!
FANY (The Friends of New York Theatre) very kindly gave me their Best Actor in a Musical award.
NEW YORK PUBLIC ADVOCATE'S AWARD
Mark Green, the New York Public Advocate gave me a special award at City Hall for my performance in Cabaret and for 'Exemplary leadership, commitment, and advocacy on behalf of the gay and lesbian community and all New Yorkers'.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY IT LIST
I was named one of the 100 most creative people in the world (!) by Entertainment Weekly.

I was inducted into the Vanity Fair Hall of Fame in their year end issue. Annie Liebowitz took the photo.
NEW YORK PRESS AWARD
I tied for the Best actor award with the lovely John Cameron Mitchell, he for his performance in Hedwig, and me for Cabaret.
